Guide to Domestic Skip Hire

Find a Skip Hire company you can trust!
You want to know your waste is not being fly-tipped and is being disposed of properly and, as much as possible, recycled. Budget Skip Services Ltd have been in the industry for over 12 years and our team has over 40 years combined experience meaning we won’t just leave your waste by the side of the road! We have our own licensed waste transfer station where we also accept domestic waste if you want to bring it to us.
What size skip do I need?
This is often tricky for you to judge but our most popular domestic skip is the 8 yard which holds 70 full bin bags and is perfect for a household or garden clearance.
Where can I put my skip?
You can put it on your driveway or anywhere on your private property. If you want to put your skip on the street you need to get a permit from the council FIRST! We can organise this for you so please let us know if this is required for you and you need to bear in mind the permit will have to be processed adding to the lead time for your skip to be delivered.
Don't over fill your skip!
Once you have the skip you must make sure you don’t overfill it. See the pictures below for what constitutes a safely loaded skip and what doesn’t! If you overload your skip we will not be able to accept it as it won’t be safe for our drivers to load onto the lorry and carry back to our transfer station. Don’t order a smaller skip to save money and then try and ram everything in. If you have under-estimated then contact us and we will be able to help.
Don't put hazardous waste in your skip!
Contact us separately if you would like us to remove hazardous waste but it should NOT go in your light waste domestic skip. Hazardous waste includes absestos, clinical waste, gas bottles, tyres, car parts etc. For more information Click here for our Guide on Skip Waste
